Aurtiz Inc. ("Aurtiz", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with transparency, integrity, and care. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform regardless of role, including Artists, Producers, and Listeners. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws, additional rights and obligations may apply to you as described throughout this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you directly provide when you use the Platform, including:

  • Account Information — When you register, we collect your name, email address, username, profile photo, and the role you select (Artist, Producer, or Listener). If you register via Google or Apple OAuth, we receive the information those services provide including your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Profile Information — Display name, biography, genre preferences, location, social media links, profile photo, and banner image.
  • Content You Upload — Audio files, cover art, beat files, blog posts, comments, and any other content you submit to the Platform.
  • Payment and Financial Information — For Producers and Artists receiving payouts, we collect payout method details (PayPal email address or bank account information). For purchases, payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe) and we do not store full payment card details. We receive confirmation of payment and transaction identifiers.
  • Communications — Messages you send to us through support channels, email, or any feedback you provide.
  • Tax Information — Tax identification numbers or other tax-related information we may be required to collect from creators earning revenue on the Platform.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Usage Data — Information about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, features used, content streamed, beats played, searches performed, time spent on the Platform, and actions taken such as follows, likes, purchases, and uploads.
  • Device Information — Device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, browser type and version, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data — IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URLs, and browser activity logs.
  • Location Data — General geographic location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.
  • Streaming and Playback Data — Information about the content you stream, including track identifiers, playback duration, completion rates, and stream quality preferences.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies — We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies as described in Section 6 of this Policy.

  • Authentication Providers — When you use Google or Apple to sign in, we receive profile information from those services as permitted by your privacy settings with those providers.

  • Operating the beat marketplace, including beat packs.

  • Sending transactional notifications including purchase confirmations, payout notifications, blog post approval or rejection notifications, and account security alerts.
  • Responding to your support requests and inquiries.
  • Sending platform announcements and service updates.
  • Sending marketing communications where you have provided consent (you may opt out at any time).
3.3 Safety, Security, and Compliance
  • Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, copyright infringement, and other illegal or prohibited activity.
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service and Content Guidelines.
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations, including tax reporting requirements and DMCA obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

Aurtiz does not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1 With Other Users

Certain information in your profile is visible to other Platform users. This includes your display name, username, profile photo, role, bio, genre preferences, social media links, follower and following counts, uploaded content, and publicly available statistics such as stream counts and license counts. Your email address and payment information are never shared with other users.

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, subject to appropriate data processing agreements. These providers include:

  • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) — for processing transactions and payouts.
  • Cloud storage providers — for hosting uploaded audio files, images, and documents.
  • Email delivery services — for sending transactional and marketing emails.
  • Analytics services — for understanding Platform usage.
  • Fraud detection services — for identifying and preventing fraudulent activity.
  • Customer support tools — for managing support communications.
4.3 For Legal Reasons

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of Aurtiz's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform's services. We also retain information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within ninety (90) days, except where we are required to retain it longer for legal or regulatory reasons. Certain information such as transaction records and tax-related data may be retained for up to seven (7) years as required by applicable financial regulations.

Content that other users have interacted with, such as beats that have been licensed, may remain on the Platform in anonymized form after account deletion to preserve the integrity of existing licenses and the listening experience.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow us to recognize you and remember your preferences.

6.1 Types of Cookies We Use
  • Essential Cookies — Necessary for the Platform to function. These include authentication cookies that keep you logged in and security cookies that protect against fraud. These cannot be disabled.

Aurtiz is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
